Microsoft Windows 7 – End of Life

Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System will reach End of Life in January 2020

When Microsoft Windows 7 reaches end of support on the 14th of January 2020 your computer will still function but Microsoft will no longer provide technical support for any issues, software updates or security updates or fixes.

Whilst the end of life of an operating system and on-going support may not be an issue for some, the fact that Windows 7 will no longer be security patched after this date means you could be left highly vulnerable in what is already a rapidly changing threat landscape.

The most popular option to take following Windows 7 End of Life is to migrate to Windows 10 as recommended by Microsoft. However, this may result in the requirement for hardware upgrades and additional hardware costs at a time when many are already being challenged with reduced resources and increased demands.

RGB Solutions can guide through your options and advise of the best approach for your organisation. Whether it is a software upgrade, help with backup and storage, or looking into flexible cost effective solutions with our fully Managed IT service, we are happy to organise an audit and consultation to discuss your requirements.
